Attorney Young is a member in good standing of the Lehigh County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and the U. S. District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; he received his B.S. from Ursinus College in 1974 and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1977.For over 30 years, he's handled a wide variety of general civil legal matters. Following his father’s appointment as a Lehigh County Judge in 1984, he concentrated his practice in the areas of real estate, wills and estates. He established and operated Home Settlement Services, Inc., a full service real estate title insurance agency, until 1999, when he transferred the company to his brother, William J. Young, who continues to hold closings in the Macungie Office with the help of their brother, David R. Young.Attorney Young maintains a long list of activities that keep him involved in the greater Macungie-area community. He was an Eagle Scout from Macungie Troop 71, a former Solicitor to the Lehigh County Recorder of Deeds, a founding and current member of the Macungie Historical Society, where he served as Secretary and Treasurer, and a founding Director of East Penn Bank/East Penn Financial Corp., where he served for 16 years and held the positions of Corporate Secretary and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. Attorney Young currently serves as a Trustee of the Kalmbach Memorial Park, located on Cotton Street in Macungie, and is also an active member of the Macungie Memorial Park Association, where he has participated as a volunteer for many events — such as Das Awkscht Fescht — since childhood. He has served on several committees for the Association.Donald was born in Allentown Hospital and raised in the East Penn area; he graduated from Westtown Friends School in 1970. Attorney Young married Debra, of Zionsville, at Solomon’s Church in Macungie in 1973; they have 3 daughters.Attorney Young enjoys a long and rewarding relationship with family, friends and many local clients from the Macungie, Emmaus, and Lehigh County area.
